Getting a group of youngsters to commit to an activity is a real challenge. Anyone who runs an educational establishment for teens can attest to this. Little staying power and lack of commitment to a cause is symptomatic of a generation that relies on instant gratification as the basis for decision-making. But the deeper reason why young people hesitate to make long-term commitments is their ignorance of what true freedom is.

La finalidad de la diversión es "pasarlo bien", cosa que no sólo es legítima, sino necesaria, puesto que a nadie le gusta pasarlo mal; tenemos derecho a disfrutar, a descansar, a gozar de las cosas buenas de la vida. Sin embargo, hay muchos modos de pasarlo bien, pero unos son mejores que otros. De lo que se trata es de entender cuál es la mejor manera de descansar, divertirse y gozar de las cosas buenas, partiendo, eso sí, de que el descanso y el ocio son una necesidad humana ineludible, puesto que quien no los ejerce pierde la salud en poco tiempo.
